Shinzui Esports is currently a privately operated, non-commercial esports project.
This website is hosted using services provided by Netlify.
When visitors access the website, technical information necessary to provide and secure the website may be processed. This can include IP addresses, browser and device information, request information and technical log data.
Applications, requests and member accounts are processed by server-side functions on Netlify and stored in Netlify's storage service (Netlify Blobs). We do not use Netlify Forms or any other third-party form service.
The processing is carried out for the purpose of securely and reliably providing the website.
Further information about Netlify's processing of personal data can be found in Netlify's own privacy information.
Visitors can use this website to apply as a player, community member or member of the Shinzui Esports team.
Depending on the type of application, we may process information including:
Shinzui Esports does not request an applicant's age or date of birth through these application forms.
The information is processed for the purpose of reviewing the application, communicating with the applicant and deciding whether and in what capacity the applicant may join Shinzui Esports.
Application information is accessible only to members of Shinzui Esports management who require access to review and process applications.
If enabled by management, a short notification about a new application is posted to a private management channel on our Discord server using a Discord webhook. It contains only the name or nickname, the type of application, the preferred role and the Discord username. The other details of the application are not sent to Discord.
To prevent abuse, we temporarily store a one-way hashed value derived from the IP address in order to limit the number of submissions per hour. The IP address itself is not stored for this purpose.
Where application information is processed on the basis of the applicant's consent, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Where processing is necessary in order to take steps at the applicant's request before entering into an agreement or comparable relationship, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR may also apply.
The technical provision and security of the website, abuse prevention and the display of team information are based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Member accounts are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Application information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to review and process the application and complete related communication.
Once an application has been finally processed and the information is no longer required, the application information will be deleted unless continued storage is necessary for a legitimate purpose or required by law.
Open applications are not deleted automatically. Once an application has been accepted or rejected, it becomes eligible for deletion 90 days after it was closed. Eligible applications are deleted by management or, if management has switched on automatic deletion, automatically by the system. If an application is reopened, this period starts again when it is closed again.
Applicants may request deletion of their application information at any time by contacting:
Shinzui Esports uses the Riot Games API to retrieve and display League of Legends information relating to members of its esports teams.
Depending on the information available through the Riot Games API, this may include:
This information is used to provide and maintain team profiles and player statistics on Shinzui.net.
Requests to the Riot Games API are made exclusively by our server. Results are cached for up to 24 hours. For internal statistics, we also keep a daily history of each player's rank for up to about 150 days.
The information is obtained through services provided by Riot Games.
Riot Games is an independent provider and its own privacy terms apply to processing carried out by Riot Games.
Shinzui Esports isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.
The website may contain links to player profiles on OP.GG.
These are external links. When visitors follow such a link, they leave Shinzui.net and the privacy practices of the respective external provider apply.
The same applies to links to the Prime League, Discord, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok and X.
Members of Shinzui Esports can log in to the members' area and the Shinzui App. Accounts are created by management; it is not possible to register yourself. For this purpose we process the username, display name, password (stored only as a salted hash), roles and team assignments, and optional profile details such as position, OP.GG links and the name used in our scheduling tool.
For team organisation, the Shinzui App shows information for team members such as availability, responses to appointments, match results, tasks and notes. Schedule information is retrieved by our server from RiftSchedule, the scheduling tool used by our teams. If enabled by management, new tasks (title, the display names of the assigned members, due date and author) as well as match reminders and match results are posted to Discord channels via webhooks.
After login, a session cookie named "snz" is set. It is technically necessary, cannot be read by scripts and expires after 14 days or on logout. To protect against password guessing, failed login attempts are counted for a short time using a one-way hashed value derived from the IP address.
Other teams can request a scrim through the website. We process the team name, contact details such as a Discord name, and optional details such as division, Elo range, preferred times and a message. Requests are visible to the coaches and management of the respective team. If enabled by management, the request (team name, contact, division, Elo range, preferred times and message) is posted to the team's Discord channel via a webhook, or to the private management channel if the team has no channel of its own.
Members can request coaching in the members' area. We store the member's display name, the chosen coach and the message. These requests are visible to the persons responsible for coaching and are not sent to Discord.
This website does not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.
This website does not load fonts or scripts from external providers when a page is opened.
The Twitch stream on the home page is only loaded after a visitor clicks to start it. Only then does the browser connect to Twitch, and Twitch's privacy terms apply.
The number of Discord members shown on the website is retrieved by our server. Visitors' browsers do not connect to Discord for this purpose.
Application information is accessible only to persons within Shinzui Esports who require access in order to review and process the application.
Technical service providers may process information where necessary to operate the website and application system. In particular, Netlify is used for website hosting and data storage, Discord for notifications to our channels where enabled, Riot Games for game statistics and RiftSchedule for team scheduling.
Shinzui Esports does not sell applicant data.
Some technical service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.
Where required by applicable data protection law, appropriate legal mechanisms for international data transfers are used.
Under the GDPR, data subjects may have rights including:
Requests concerning personal data can be sent to:
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) in the application forms are required in order to process the respective application.
Other information is voluntary.
If required information is not provided, Shinzui Esports may be unable to review the application.
Shinzui Esports takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse and disclosure.
The website is provided using HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and access to application and member data is restricted by roles.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when necessary, for example if the technical operation of the website changes or new services are introduced.
